Helllooooo sexy, beasty like guy AKA Kahl Drog?. I first got a heads up on Game of Thrones over at SmokinHotBooks. KC always radars in on the hotties. She?s a true talent I tell you. Seriously I love this series. It?s violent and sexy and just all around neato and I mean that in the most sophisticated way. ?Thank the gods it?s available on HBO on demand.

Lothaire?s heroine is revealed! Finally, we know. Lothaire is the evil vampire I love to hate. I fell for him hard in Dreams Of A Dark Warrior and I?ve been waiting patiently for the big news on who will win his cold, dark heart. Here is what Kresley Cole says on her Facebook page:
The cat?s out of the bag! Lothaire?s heroine is revealed. Her name is . . . Elizabeth Peirce, and she is the first mortal IAD protagonist, a character we?ve met before, not his original Bride, a being of untold power, and on death row. (And at least one of those statements is false) Which do you think are true? p.s. for those of you who?d wondered if his heroine would be Nix . . . I?ve had her hero picked out from the very beginning of this series (he?s the only one who can handle Nucking Futs). Lothaire and Nix have a surprising history though, and in the future,?you?ll see why they could never be more than just friends/enemies ?:) As a matter of fact, several shocking secrets will be revealed in this book . . .
So what do you think? I?m intrigued and Kresley Cole never lets me down. No cover yet but the book currently entitled Lothaire is set for release January 10th 2012. Here?s the blurb:
From the humblest of beginnings a millennia ago, Lothaire the Enemy of Old rose to power, becoming the most feared and evil vampire in the immortal world. Driven by his past, he will not rest until he captures the vampire Horde?s crown for himself. The discovery of his Bride, the female meant only for him, threatens to derail his plot.
Elizabeth Peirce is a mere mortal, a glaring vulnerability for a male with so many blood foes bent on annihilating anything he desires. Yet soon he discovers his Bride?s secret. A magnificent power dwells inside the fragile human, one that will aid his quest. But to possess that power, he will have to destroy her. Will Lothaire succumb to the torments of his past, or seize a future with her?

As most of you know I blog with three other reviewers here at Fiction Vixen. Samantha, Amy and Catherine are busy reading and reviewing on a daily basis but other than that they generally like to stay behind the scenes. This week I asked them what?s up? What?s going on? What do you want to add to Random Friday? Amy is on a blogging vacay so she?s excused this week, but Samantha and Catherine are on the hot seat.
Here is how Samantha responded to my query:
I have nothing exciting but the following did occur:
The other morning Ann Curry on the Today show announced an upcoming segment on using Color Blocking when dressing which then Matt Lauer replied something like, ?I?ve always wondered what that meant?? I turned to my husband and said, ?They?re doing a segment on cock blocking? How does he not know what cock blocking is?? My husband just rolled his eyes and shook his head. I blame the hot scene from Lauren Dane I read the night before.
I also have a bone to pick with @smexybooks who I blame for my exhaustion this week. I told her about a series she had to start reading. [the Cut and Run series from Roux and Urban] So she started with book 1. Well I couldn?t stand that someone else was reading it and I wasn?t, so I started re-reading it too. Next thing I knew I was whipping through books 2 and 3 by staying up way too late, and now I am trying to catch up on my sleep. Anyone else have to re-read a favorite book when you hear someone else is starting it too?
Here is how Catherine responded:
I have nothing exciting or random to add. The last little while has been nothing work, work, work, work for me, so I?m pretty boring right now.
Funny story?I?ve been working really long hours and one afternoon my brain seemed to have checked out.? I kept forgetting my words or saying them in the wrong order.? My team and I were discussing something and I said ?juice of lemon? instead of ?lemon juice?.? It was pretty ridiculous.? I now get teased about it constantly.? LOL.? Sleep is good for Catherine.
I feel you sister?I feel you.?FV
Catherine is going to start posting her monthly picks at the end of each month so be on the look out for that.
