Get ready to eat and drink to your heart?s content at the Chicago Gourmet Food and Wine Festival! See cooking demonstrations from?legendary chefs like Rick Bayless and Ted Allen at the festival that promotes the best of Chicago?s food.? Learn about fine wines from expert Alpana Singh. Come downtown all weekend to eat the best food and drink the best wine.

You can come to the Hamburger Hop to try the best burgers from chefs across the the city. Try burgers from chefs like Steve Coppolillo from Rosebud Steakhouse, Beverly Kim Clark from Aria Restaurant, and Jeff Starr from Build a Better Burger. Celebrity judges include DJ?Lin Brehmer from adult rock station?WXRT-FM (93.1) will determine which burger is the best. Vegans don?t have to be left out. There?s also a vegan cooking demonstration from Ryan Poli from Tavernita.

After eating delicious burgers, wash them down with an impressive selection of wines. At the Grand Cru wine tasting, you can sample wines from?a wide selection of wineries, including Aven?u Brands, Henriot Inc. , and Moet Hennessey USA.

The festival is fun and gives back to the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation,?which provides scholarships for aspiring chefs and hospitality professionals. Through the festival?s silent auction and raffles, the foundation has given over $1 million in scholarships.
