Anyone who has learnt to play the Acoustic Guitar can easily manage to advance to play the Electric Guitar as it is less tiresome because you will not need to press down so hard upon the strings while playing. The right age for Kids to get started is between 5 to 8 years. When buying a Guitar for Kids everything explained above also applies for Kids, the only difference actually being the size of the Guitar. Buy the same Guitar you would get for yourself, just 1/2 or 3/4 scale. Do not buy toy Guitars for a few bucks, because they are just that, toys, and your Kids will not learn anything.

Some people prefer to get their Kids started on a classic Guitar with nylon strings as they are much easier on the fingers but at we don?t recommend this. Classic Guitar is serious business but you want your Kids to have fun and be able to strum some easy songs soon to keep the?motivation?up ? hence the Acoustic Guitar.
