BitTorrent Inc. has just announced that they released their new uTorrent app for Android which is now available for download in the Google Play Store. This app will enable Android tablets and Android smartphones users to download torrents directly from their beloved Android devices. Check out more details after the break.
Nope, this is not a remote control app for your uTorrent app that allows its users manage downloads running on their desktop. This is a full-fledged BitTorrent client designed for Android devices running on Android 2.1 and up. The app is packed with some basic functionality, such as searching torrents, subscribing to RSS feeds, as well as play its content while downloading. Just like the desktop version of the software, users will also be able to set upload and download speed limits to ensure that their torrent downloading will not interrupt to any other mobile data use. Users can also download torrents using their 3G or 4G data connections or via WiFi. However, you should be noted that the app is still beta stage and we are not sure if the app will work smoothly on the new Google Nexus 7 or other recently released devices.
Anyway, you can get uTorrent Beta App for Android in the Google Play Store for free using this download link.
