Lynn and I are one of those couples that leave our photo albums out on the coffee table. We do it to remind us of the truly great trips we've taken. Every once in a while we pick them up and go through them . It always puts us in a great mood. A couple of weeks ago, we were making dinner for some friends, Joe and Deb. Deb picked up one of albums and began to 'ooh and ahh' at some of the pictures. Joe joined her and they became engrossed in our vacations. "Wow, you guys have been on some great trips. And that hotel room you stayed in is gorgeous. Is that the Presidential Suite?"I laughed and told him we stopped vacationing in hotel rooms a long time ago. Once we got hooked on timeshare, it's hard to go back to cramped hotel rooms. The 'Presidential Suite' he was referring to was our two-bedroom villa with marble floors, full kitchen with granite counters, king-size bed and Jacuzzi tub. "You must have broken the piggy bank open for that one", he remarked.
"Actually, staying in a timeshare has always been less expensive than a hotel room and that villa we stayed in was actually free" I told him. I thought he was going to fall off the couch. "I thought timeshares were scams. Deb and I went to a presentation once and it was awful. Lots of pressure; we just walked out." I told him that I have heard stories like that but for us, timeshare has allowed us to vacation in dream destinations, in 'Presidential Suites' (he laughed), and within our budget. We love it. Timeshare is like having a rich Uncle with a condo in the best locations around the world.
Our vacations include Marbella, where we enjoyed amazing paella and local wines while gazing at the Mediterranean Sea; Aruba, where we explored with a Jeep and then ate fresh fish for dinner on the beach watching the sunset; Palm Desert where we played golf and enjoyed a world-class spa, and of course Kauai, my favorite spot. Kauai is the place I think about when I have a bad day. I just think about sitting on the beach, hearing the ocean, seeing the mountains and the water and I forget about whatever is putting me in a bad mood. It's a magical place for me. All of that and more through timeshare.
I explained to them how timeshare works for us. Lynn and I love to vacation, but when we vacation we never want to worry about our safety or the cleanliness and quality of our lodging. We won't budge on that. Having kids, we like having the extra space and the kitchen that timeshare provides. We also have a budget that we have to manage very closely. And with the economy the way it is, it's even more important. Lastly, we don't like the hidden fees and taxes that are tacked on to flights, hotels, and car rentals these days every time you turn around. With timeshare, you don't have any of that.
About Timeshare Exchange: We purchased our timeshare in Hawaii years ago. As nice as that resort is, we don't want to go there every year. We want to see new places and as a timeshare owner, I have the right to trade my unit with another owner. I gave them an overview of the 2 big companies, RCI and Interval International which handle most exchanges worldwide. I told him about the banking system, the annual membership fees, and the exchange fees. He didn't like the all the "fees", but then I told them how we haven't paid exchange fees in a long time. A lot of owners don't even use RCI or Interval International for exchanging.
Avoiding the fees: Lynn and I have been traveling for years and we've created a network of timeshare owners that want to trade timeshares without fees. As the network grew, we even created a website to make it easier. It connects all the owners around the world to trade for free. It's a giant network of timeshare owners (some resorts have joined too) all over the world that trade with each other. It's easy and fun and there are no fees. Once we trade, all we have to do is check-in and start having fun.
The "Juice" of Life: The "Juice of Life" is spending time with family and friends having fun and creating memories. We work hard all year and cherish our vacation time with family. Don't miss that time. And when we do vacation, we want to make sure it's a great vacation and the best value for our money. Vacation ownership and timeshare exchange have allowed us to have it all.
Timeshare Juice is a fun website for timeshare rentals and exchange. You won't need your RCI membership at Timeshare Juice.
