Registered UK charity The Diane Modahl Sports Foundation has announced a new corporate partnership with Premium Brand Management Group that will see the charity launch its own range of tea bags.
In a tribute to British sporting stars of the past and the future, the tea has been called Tea MGB. A deal has already been agreed with retailer B&M, who will stock the 99p boxes (proceeds from which go straight to DMSF), while deals with other major multiples are said to be in the pipeline.
The DMSF was set up by former international athlete Diane Modahl and gives young people access to world class coaching, helping them understand discipline, commitment and focus.
"This is the latest in a fantastic line of corporate partnerships we've established," said Modahl. "We greatly value our relationships with businesses in Manchester and across the UK. Their support assists us in everything that we do and helps the sporting and other ambitions of some of Manchester's most promising athletes come to fruition."
"Tea seemed the perfect product to develop," said Nigel Ramsay, director at Premium Brand Management Group. "We're a nation of tea drinkers and think a lot over our brew, so I hope people will think hard about lending their support to DMSF while they're boiling the kettle each morning!"
