NFL Star Kerry Rhodes is bringing his message of good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle back to hometown of Bessemer.
The football player has been in town all week promoting his two day fit event.
Things kicked off on Saturday at Bessemer's Legacy YMCA.
The family affair included fitness activities, educational information, health screenings by UAB Medical West, healthy food choices from Bob Sykes Bbq, kids activities and more.
"Now Let?s Get Fit" is a nation-wide health, fitness and quality of life event designed to inform communities of health risks and higher costs of living associated with obesity," according to a news release.
The two day event continues on Monday at the YMCA.
Starting at 5 p.m. and lasting until 9 p.m., there will be two adult fitness workout classes along with free obesity related testing, screening for adults along with healthy nutritional tips and how to eat on a budget.
Space is limited for the event. If you're interested in attending, you need to reserve a spot.
